Electives and CTE

All students must earn a minimum of 90 units of electives credit in order to graduate from LCHS. Any classes that students take beyond the designated requirements listed above count toward fulfilling the 90 units of electives credit. Some of the elective classes described below are those that do not easily fit into the academic department structure that organizes the faculty here at LCHS. The electives that are designated as college-preparatory, satisfy the area G of the University of California. Those not designated as college preparatory are high school level classes that fulfill the elective units needed for graduation. Classes are year-long in duration and comply with the California state standards for that subject area.
